The Innovation Story Of ETCath
In 2018, the project team of WeMed Medical began to conduct detailed market research. In 2019, the overall design plan came out. In the same year, the ETcath interventional surgery robot prototype was created.
The current surgical robots are mainly divided into five categories. With the gradual maturity of related technologies, various surgical robots have been clinically applied in many departments such as thoracic surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedics.

Focusing on the field of interventional surgery robots, our ETcath endovascular robotics system will complete the first clinical coronary stent implantation and the first clinical balloon expansion of a domestic self-developed endovascular robotics system in 2021. The first domestically developed endovascular robotics system that supports multiple types of catheters and has passed the national innovative medical device special review procedure.
In 2022, the team of Director Liu Wei of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital used the ETcath interventional surgery robot to successfully place a stent in a patient with bifurcation disease of the anterior descending branch.

At present, ETcath endovascular robotics system has been clinically applied in many well-known hospitals such as Beijing Anzhen Hospital. Our "clinical orientation" strategy has been further implemented, and WeMed Medical's position as the leader of domestic interventional surgery robots has been further consolidated.
