The Concept Of Angiography

Angiography is an auxiliary examination technology. In the advanced period of modern technology, angiography technology is commonly used in the diagnosis and treatment of various clinical diseases, which helps doctors find the disease in time, control the progress of the disease, and effectively improve the survival of patients. Rate. Angiography is an interventional detection method in which the imaging agent is injected into the blood vessel. Because X-rays cannot penetrate the imaging agent, angiography can accurately reflect the location and degree of vascular disease. But angiography is also an invasive examination, and there are many allergic reactions:

① Immediate allergic reactions: including itching, urticaria, angioedema, bronchospasm, hypotension and syncope, the most common is urticaria. Most of these reactions are self-limiting and respond quickly to adrenergic and antihistamine drugs, but the possibility of fatalities cannot be ignored.

②Delayed allergic reaction: It is the allergic reaction that occurs 1 to 3 days after the injection of the contrast medium, which mainly manifests as itching and urticaria.

Angiography uses this feature to diagnose vascular disease through the image displayed by the imaging agent under X-rays.

The commonly used angiographic contrast agent is iodine reagent. In rare cases where the use of iodine reagent is contraindicated, carbon dioxide is used as a contrast agent.
