Neurointervention Technology

Intervention technology, medical technology and surgical technology are three major medical technologies. Compared with the other two technology, intervention technology still is a young technology, independent of both medical and surgical technologies, and cross-existing with them. Intervention technologies are divided into three main categories: cardiac intervention, peripheral intervention and neurointervention.

Neurointervention technologies are used to treat neurological diseases. It is supported by the digital subtraction angiography (cath lab) system, using endovascular catheter operation technology, through selective angiography, embolism, expansion forming, mechanical clearance, drug delivery and other specific methods to carry out diagnosis and treatment of human neurovascular system lesions. It is a new minimally invasive clinical technology, which opens up a new way of thinking and treatment for many vascular diseases of brain and spinal cord.
