8 Types Of Endovascular Interventional Techniques Ⅳ
Endovascular Embolization is the most widely used interventional therapy technique. There are two types of endovascular embolization: permanent embolization and temporary embolization.
Intravascular embolic agent is injected into the blood vessel to physically block the blood vessel and stimulate the formation of the vascular self-coagulation process, thus interrupting the blood flow to eliminate the role of pathological vascular mass, similar to surgical ligation and removal of abnormal blood vessels.
Somehow, it replaces surgical excision for the treatment of disease. Arterial embolization is used to treat various arteriovenous malformations and arteriovenous fistulas, and to treat massive bleeding, such as hemoptysis, hematemesis, and hematochezia. Treatment of benign tumors, such as uterine fibroids, hepatic hemangioma, renal hamartoma and etc.

Angioplasty is the most widely used technique in vascular interventional therapy. The balloon catheter was introduced into the diseased blood vessel by percutaneous puncture with the help of a sheath tube, and the balloon was filled with high pressure to dilate the narrow blood vessel, tear the thickened intima of the vascular wall, and restore the normal diameter of the vascular cavity and the blood flow patency. It is used to treat heart valve stenosis, arterial stenosis, and venous stenosis
